The Stone of Fate system is similar to the Destined Meetings from Dream of Mirror Online, another Aeria game along with Stone Age 2.

The Stone of Fate system helps to establish ingame relationships by selecting effectively random characters and attempting to bring them closer together, for the sole purpose of helping them become friends inside and outside of the game. The red yarn tying the characters together is a Japanese symbol of everlasting friendship.
